To be human is to experience challenges. Dr. Beaulac values being a part of her clients’ journeys in overcoming life’s most difficult moments to live life fully. She is bilingual (English/French) and works with adults and adolescents.
Dr. Beaulac coaches you to find clarity and meaning to perform at your best in your life - whether in work, relationships, sport, or artistic pursuit. She works with clients to overcome a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, workplace burnout, trauma, eating disorders, insomnia, and dealing with common life issues (e.g., stress, grief, relationships). It is in relationships that we are strongest. You don’t need to face life’s difficulties alone.
Dr. Beaulac also has extensive clinical experience and a particular interest in working with individuals who are facing health conditions (e.g., pain, weight-related concerns, diabetes, Hepatitis C, HIV, disability), dealing with sleep difficulties, wanting to optimize athletic or artistic performance or live a healthier lifestyle (e.g., becoming more physically active, quitting smoking, eating healthier, reducing alcohol or drug use), and dealing with workplace burnout and trauma, including first responders and their families. As a health and rehabilitation psychologist, she believes that dealing with the psychological and behavioural aspects of health issues are a key to wellness.
In our work together, we will collaboratively identify the treatment goals that will lead you to live a more meaningful life. Using evidence-based approaches, Dr. Beaulac provides assessment, treatment, and consultation and tailors specific treatment to your needs and interests. She has a particular interest in working with clients to incorporate physical activity and healthy lifestyle as a component of treatment. Her work draws on acceptance and mindfulness-based approaches (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Training, mindfulness and self-compassion), brain body-based approaches (Brainspotting Therapy - Phase 1, Phase 2, Creative Expansion for Artists, Brainspotting and Performance: The Flow Model; Polyvagal Informed Therapy), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
