Dr. Julie Beaulac
Is a bilingual registered clinical, health, and rehabilitation psychologist and consultant based in Ottawa, Canada.
Her work is rooted in mind–body unity and the understanding that healing unfolds when we reconnect to the body’s wisdom and allow space for curiosity and “not knowing.” Through presence and compassion, Julie supports individuals in living with greater alignment, vitality, and meaning.
A certified yoga teacher and long-time practitioner of embodiment, mindfulness, and integrative wellness, Julie weaves together psychological science and contemplative practice in her work. She is the co-author of The Mind-Body Way: The Embodied Leader’s Path to Resilience, Connection, and Purpose (2023).
Julie is passionate about helping others reconnect—to themselves and to one another, to wonder and joy, to nature and movement, and to what matters most. She believes that through connection, we remember our wholeness.
Outside of her professional work, Julie finds nourishment in nature and movement, real food, meaningful conversations, and exploring Canada and beyond.

Background
Dr. Beaulac began her career as a psychologist in Manitoba, where she held a full-time academic appointment with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba and worked in primary care with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. In 2012, she returned to Ottawa, where she spent nearly a decade as a psychologist at The Ottawa Hospital and as a clinician-investigator in Clinical Epidemiology at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.
Across her career, Julie has worked in a wide range of clinical settings, including weight management, youth psychiatry, primary care, infectious diseases, first-episode psychosis, geriatric psychiatry, and general outpatient psychology. This breadth of experience continues to inform her integrative, whole-person approach to care.
In late 2021, Julie expanded her private practice to create a professional life more fully aligned with her values and sense of purpose. She offers clinical services, training, and wellness events, and collaborates with organizations on program development and evaluation. She is an affiliate researcher with the Centre for Research on Educational and Community Services at the University of Ottawa, a regular presenter at national and international conferences, and a published author in peer-reviewed journals.

Rachel Norman, B.A., M.Ed.
“There is no normal life that is free of pain. It’s the very wrestling with our problems that can be the impetus for our growth.” – Fred Rogers
Rachel Norman is a Registered Psychotherapist who has been in private practice since 2019. She works with individuals navigating a range of challenges, including past trauma, life transitions, relationship strain, chronic stress, anxiety, depression, and health-related concerns. Her approach is warm and down-to-earth, while also being direct and practical. She offers a space where clients can be honest about what’s hard and feel supported in facing it with care, clarity, and intention.
Rachel’s work is grounded in the belief that healing and growth aren’t about avoiding discomfort, but about building steadiness, compassion, and self-trust—even when life feels uncertain. She often supports clients in reconnecting with themselves, exploring what really matters to them, and developing habits that support both mental and physical well-being.
She holds a Master’s degree in counselling psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland and is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is also a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Her training is primarily in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE), and she works from a trauma-informed, evidence-based perspective.
Rachel offers in-person (North Bay, ON), phone, and virtual appointments, with most services covered by extended health insurance plans. She keeps her practice intentionally small in order to provide thoughtful, personalized care.
